Reaching new heights for the iQ building in Shoreditch. 

£8.5m Vertical Extension of Shoreditch Student Accommodation

MBL have secured an £8.5m project to extend the iQ Student Accommodation building in Shoreditch by 2 additional storeys. New 15th and 16th floors are being added, whilst the building remains occupied. 

The works also include full renovation of the existing building and all 280 student rooms, studios, penthouses, a gym and other facilities, all to be completed in the summer of 2019. Since the IQ building accommodates students, the building remains occupied until the summer months. Careful consideration is given to the order in which the works are carried out and the manner in which materials, equipment and builders move around the site. External scaffolding and a lift serve to minimise disruption inside the building for the benefit of iQ residents.
